Katy Sedna Mira bezaubert mit irischen, amerikanischen, indischen und afrikanischen Liedern sowie mit portugiesischem Fado, und ihren eigenen Songs.
Katy is multicultural. She grew up in Germany, Africa and the USA and studied songwriting and vocal improvisation at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She has lived and performed in New York City, Edinburgh, Los Angeles, Boston, Lomé (Togo, West Africa), Nairobi, Calcutta, Cologne and Coimbra, where she met Luís Pedro Madeira's Band and toured with them through Portugal as "Katy Sedna & the Sad Guys".
In her duo CATs N FRUITS "weird world music & violin toy loops" Herr Weber mixes in Balkan folk and deep noise.
Katy, ein Kind aus verschiedenen Kulturen. Aufgewachsen in Deutschland, Afrika und den USA, studierte sie 1994 - 1997 in Boston am Berklee College of Music Songwriting und Jazzimpro-visation. Sie lebte und hatte zahlreiche Auftritte als Sängerin und Gitarristin in New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Lomé (Togo), Nairobi, Kalkutta und Edinburgh, sowie mit Luís Pedro Madeira in Coimbra und jetzt in Köln und Lissabon zusammen mit dem Geiger Herr Weber im Duo "CATs N FRUITS" und "Katy Sedna Mira & Friends" mit Donald Holtermanns und Peter Bachmann.
